Wireless bridge for site-to-site links
Two outdoor radios carry an Ethernet connection between locations where cable or fibre cannot be installed.
Ethernet between two locations
Bridge A connects to the main LAN. Bridge B provides Ethernet at the remote location. Routing, switching and local Wi-Fi remain separate functions.

Bridge A, line of sight and Bridge B
Check distance, permitted frequencies, obstructions, mounting height and Fresnel clearance before choosing the radios.

Information required at both endpoints
Check both mounting points, the radio path, and the available power and Ethernet connection at each end.
Endpoint A
Main LAN connection, PoE source, mounting height, grounding and outdoor cable route.
Radio path
Distance, line of sight, Fresnel clearance, elevation, obstructions and permitted channel plan.
Endpoint B
PoE source, mounting, Ethernet handoff and the switch, camera, AP or router at the remote site.
Equipment connected to each endpoint
The bridge replaces the cable between two points. Gateways, switches, routers and access points retain their normal network roles.
- A switch or gateway connects the main LAN to Bridge A
- A camera, switch or access point connects behind Bridge B
- A 4G/5G router can provide WAN at either site
